HOW TO GET BETTER SLEEP AND WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
Who doesn’t love a good night’s sleep? I know I do. For something that’s so great, it’s a shame the majority of American adults don’t get enough of it. Luckily, with a little bit of a priority shift, we can all get a good night’s sleep.
MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE & WHAT TONER ACTUALLY DOES
I have a confession-- up until this spring, I didn’t have a true skin care routine. I was in the pool so much that the only thing I really worried about was trying to use some sort of moisturizer.
FALL TRENDS FOR UNDER $75
There's nothing like a season change when it comes to shopping. When the weather starts to shift, I'm always looking for ways to refresh my wardrobe.
WHAT I LEARNED IN COLLEGE, OUTSIDE OF CLASS
I recently did my first Q&A, and I got asked about what my advice to college freshman would be. I did a lot of soul searching before I answered, and it got me thinking about all of the things I learned during my college years that had nothing to do with school.
MY FAVORITE ALL WEATHER BOOTS AND ACCESSORIES
I’ve been wearing and loving my Hunter boots for quite some time now. They’re perfect (of course) for rainy days, but they’ve also become a cold weather essential for me.
HANDWRITTEN LETTERS AND OCCASIONS TO WRITE THEM
Here’s a fun fact about me, I love the mail. I know it’s a little crazy but I really look forward to getting the mail every day. It’s like a little surprise present!
MY FAVORITE SIZE INCLUSIVE BRANDS
Like so many women, I have a frustratingly difficult time shopping for clothes. I have had so many experiences where I try on a bunch of things and every single piece is way too big or just fits really strangely (sorry Zara, American Eagle, and probably a bunch of other places I don’t care to remember). In a lot of stores, I just find myself drowning in their clothes.
15 WOMEN GIVE A PIECE OF ADVICE TO THEIR 20 YEAR OLD SELF
I have been blessed to be raised by, supported by, and inspired by so many incredible, strong women. This little project has meant so much to me, and I hope you take something away from it too.
I TRIED AND RESEARCHED BLUE LIGHT GLASSES, HERE’S WHAT I FOUND
Since I started blogging and working a full time office job, I spend more time in front of a computer than ever (and more than I would like to admit). Especially during my first week of work, I was experiencing some head aches and tired eyes by the end of the day.
I would like to add, I think sitting in front of my computer screen, all-day contact wear, and not drinking enough water (whoops) are all factors into the headaches.
I have heard so much about blue light glasses that I thought I would try them out.
FALL 2019 TREND REPORT AND THIS SEASON'S MUST HAVES
For the most part, I like to fill my closet with things that are classy, elegant, and timeless, especially if I’m spending anything more than $50 on a given item. As I’ve grown to develop more of my personal style I have found that what’s considered “trendy” isn’t always what I have any interest in wearing. Still, I do really enjoy keeping tabs on the artistic fashion choices that others are making, and what’s going on in the world of fashion.
Fashion is always changing and of course there are plenty of upcoming trends that I don’t personally like, but there are some popping up this fall that I’m absolutely in love with.
BLAST FROM THE PAST WITH 2011 TEEN VOGUE
I used to LOVE Teen Vogue. I was interested in fashion and accessories pretty much from the time that I could walk, and when I got a bit older I started eating up what I’d refer to now as age-appropriate fashion magazines.
I PLANNED A PERFECT LITTLE DATE IN TWO BOSTON LOCATIONS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO
Planning dates can be hard! It’s easy to get stuck in a routine and end up at the same places time and time again, and trying to come up with new ideas can be daunting.
Hence, I planned a perfect little date night in two Boston locations so you don’t have to! All you need to do is pick your date night setting— Back Bay or the North End. (All of these pcitures are from Back Bay.)
FIVE DAILY GOALS FOR STAYING INSPIRED, AVOIDING BURNOUT, AND A HEALTHY AMOUNT OF SOCIAL MEDIA
I am new to blogging but I am no stranger to the “workaholic” mentality, writing, social media, or creating. I have always had a bit of an obsessive personality, and realizing it’s ok to take breaks or shift your focus away from what you’re working on has always been something I’ve struggled with, and I know a lot of other people do to.
TRIP REVIEW: NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE 7-DAY GREEK ISLES FROM VENICE
If you’ve seen my last post, or been following my insta in the last couple weeks, then you already know I just got home from cruising around the Ionian, Adriatic and Mediterranean seas. It was an amazing trip that I was so lucky to go on.
I wanted to write up a full review of my trip on the Norwegian Star, and of all the stops we made to give you a little more insight into this type of trip, and hopefully help with some of your own trip planning! (P.S. long post warning with this one)
VENICE, ITALY: WHERE TO STAY, WHAT TO DO, AND WHY YOU SHOULD GO
For a city that many people will advise you to skip, I was absolutely enchanted by the quiet canals of Venice that seem to echo with whispers of times long past.
I don’t know if it’s the lack of cars, or the old world charm, but Venice is one of the most peaceful, relaxed, and refreshing places I have ever traveled to.
OUTFIT IDEAS INSPIRED BY MEDITERRANEAN DESTINATIONS
I just got home from a cruise around the Ionian, Adriatic, and Mediterranean seas, and I'm so excited to share the looks inspired by this trip with you!
DORM-ROOM PACKING: TIPS, TRICKS, AND WHAT YOU DEFINITELY DON'T NEED
Although my college days are over, this was a request. With college move in days right around the corner and and my bachelors degree under my belt, I figured I’d share what I learned.
It’s so easy to overpack and overcrowd a dorm room or small apartment, and can be hard to figure out what you actually need to bring even if it’s not your freshman year.
TRAVEL ANXIETY AND WHY YOU SHOULD TRAVEL ALONE AT LEAST ONCE
This week I’m spending some highly anticipated quality time with my family in the Mediterranean. But, the last time I boarded a transatlantic flight, I was by myself.
While I’ve been unbelievably excited for this trip, I’ve also been pretty anxious about it, a special brand of anxiety that rears its head when I’m traveling. On this trip I’ve had the comfort of my family with me, but it got me thinking about the last time I did this - facing my anxiety and traveling alone.
WHAT'S ALWAYS INSIDE MY CARRY-ON BAG
After a long day of travel, I’ve made it to Venice! While this was a bigger trip, I have been traveling a lot in the last few years (mostly between Philadelphia and Boston) and packing a carry-on has become like second nature. Since traveling is on my mind, I thought I’d share the contents of my carry-on plus some packing tips and tricks.
FOOLPROOF POKE RECIPE THAT'S SURE TO IMPRESS
This is the perfect recipe for entertaining, or just enjoying. Poke is fresh, healthy, and makes for a great hors d’oeuvre or light meal. It is also, and I can’t emphasize this enough, VERY easy to make.
CONFESSIONS OF A CRAZY PLANT LADY: HOUSEPLANTS FOR BEGINNERS
I will be the first to admit that I’ve become rather obsessed with plants. I love having them around my house and taking care of them. I worry about them when I’m away from home, the whole bit. But you know, of all the obsessions you can have I’d like to think this is a fairly heathy one.
BEACH TOWN STYLE IDEAS
Since this is my third post about spending the week at the beach, it’s finally time to talk about clothes.
POSITIVE SWIMWEAR GUIDE
Shopping for bathing suits can present an opportunity for us to bully ourselves. That also makes it the perfect chance to how we treat and value ourselves and our bodies.
Be nice to yourself— if you wouldn’t say it to someone else, why would you say it to yourself?
BOOKS I'M BRINGING TO THE BEACH
One of my favorite weeks of the year is my family’s annual beach trip. It’s a week defined by a lack of cell service or plans, and sitting in the sand.
I’ve selected five books with a good a balance of “beach reads,” more serious stories, and a classic for good measure.
10 THINGS I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS SUMMER
In the heat of the summer I like to be outside, as relaxed as possible, and with my family and friends as much as I can. Yet, it’s easy to spend valuable time picking out clothes or dealing with a sunburn.
Finding the balance between comfort and style is a requirement for me in the summer months. To try and help manage it all, here’s my list of 10 things I can’t live without for summer.
