What's Worth Buying? Luxury Skincare Products and Cosmetic Samples Rewview

Friday, September 11, 2020

As a girl who has “influencer” status with some brands, as well as a general consumer, I get a lot of free samples for skincare and makeup products. Most of the time, I honestly just let them sit for a couple weeks in my bathroom after receiving them. If the mood strikes me I’ll try one out, but most of the time they just end up in the trash.

How To Find Things To Do In Your State

Friday, August 7, 2020

I’ve definitely become more interested in being a “tourist” in my own state lately, as I think a lot of people have due to the pandemic. Right now, googling “things to do near me” might not work out like it has in the past as there’s just really not that much going on. I’m here to help! I can almost guarantee there are plenty of places to go that are close to home you may have passed over just because of their proximity. I know typically I’d rather plan a big trip than a local one, but I’ve found that in some ways I’ve been missing what’s all around me!

Shopping For You! My Choices For What Readers Are In The Market For

Friday, July 31, 2020

There are people who really love shopping (me), but there are plenty of people who don’t. It can also be nice just to hear someone else’s opinion on something. I decided to put all that together, and instead of doing one of my “favorite things” roundup posts, I would shop for you all instead! For everyone who asked me to look for them, thank you! I hope you get some good ideas! If you didn’t chime in with your own shopping needs, I hope you get some ideas as well!

EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT RENT THE RUNWAY

Friday, July 3, 2020

I have been thinking about trying a Rent the Runway subscription for a while now, and a month or so ago I finally did it! If you don’t know, Rent the Runway is a site where you can rent thousands of designer clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories for a fraction of their retail value, the only catch is that you can’t keep them. Of course you can rent individual items, but what I was most interested in is their subscription service, a membership that gives you access to all of their styles every month.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH CBD OIL

Friday, June 26, 2020

10 THINGS YOU LEARN FROM AN INDIVIDUAL SPORT

Originally published Feb. 2, 2016

For most, the first sports that come to mind are team oriented like basketball, baseball and football. Although they may not be the first ones you think of, there are plenty of awesome sports where athletes compete individually: gymnastics, track and field, diving, golf, and swimming, just to name a few. I’m a strong believer that sports teach you important life lessons you won’t find in a classroom, and some of the best ones come from competing on your own.

I have had so many experiences where I try on a bunch of things and every single piece is way too big or just fits really strangely (sorry Zara, American Eagle, and probably a bunch of other places I don’t care to remember). Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019

I have heard so much about blue light glasses that I thought I would try them out.

FALL 2019 TREND REPORT AND THIS SEASON'S MUST HAVES

Monday, Aug. 26, 2019

For the most part, I like to fill my closet with things that are classy, elegant, and timeless, especially if I’m spending anything more than $50 on a given item. As I’ve grown to develop more of my personal style I have found that what’s considered “trendy” isn’t always what I have any interest in wearing. Still, I do really enjoy keeping tabs on the artistic fashion choices that others are making, and what’s going on in the world of fashion.

Fashion is always changing and of course there are plenty of upcoming trends that I don’t personally like, but there are some popping up this fall that I’m absolutely in love with.

VENICE, ITALY: WHERE TO STAY, WHAT TO DO, AND WHY YOU SHOULD GO

Friday, Aug. 9, 2019

For a city that many people will advise you to skip, I was absolutely enchanted by the quiet canals of Venice that seem to echo with whispers of times long past.

I don’t know if it’s the lack of cars, or the old world charm, but Venice is one of the most peaceful, relaxed, and refreshing places I have ever traveled to.

TRAVEL ANXIETY AND WHY YOU SHOULD TRAVEL ALONE AT LEAST ONCE

Monday, Jul. 29, 2019

This week I’m spending some highly anticipated quality time with my family in the Mediterranean. But, the last time I boarded a transatlantic flight, I was by myself.

While I’ve been unbelievably excited for this trip, I’ve also been pretty anxious about it, a special brand of anxiety that rears its head when I’m traveling. On this trip I’ve had the comfort of my family with me, but it got me thinking about the last time I did this - facing my anxiety and traveling alone.

BOOKS I'M BRINGING TO THE BEACH

thumbnail

Monday, Jul. 15, 2019

One of my favorite weeks of the year is my family’s annual beach trip. It’s a week defined by a lack of cell service or plans, and sitting in the sand.

I’ve selected five books with a good a balance of “beach reads,” more serious stories, and a classic for good measure.

thumbnail

Friday, Jul. 12, 2019

In the heat of the summer I like to be outside, as relaxed as possible, and with my family and friends as much as I can. Yet, it’s easy to spend valuable time picking out clothes or dealing with a sunburn.
